Sessional Support Worker

North Tyneside Carers� Centre provides practical and emotional support to carers within the borough of North Tyneside.
The post holder will play a key role within the Sharing the Caring service providing one-to-one stimulative support to male/female clients with a wide range of disabilities or illnesses, allowing their carers to have a regular break from their caring role. Therefore the successful candidate must have:
experience of working with people with disabilities
the drive to provide quality stimulative support to clients
experience providing personal care
excellent communication and organisational skills
the ability to work evening and weekends
the enthusiasm and the ability to work as part of a team.

A carer is someone who takes on an unpaid caring role, providing practical and emotional support for anyone who through age, illness, mental distress, physical or learning disability, alcohol or substance misuse is unable to manage alone.

The role as contact advisor working on Non Emergency calls. You will have Customer Service experience, and you will also have some previous call handling experience, dealing with incoming calls from individuals who have various concerns, problems, require advice/support but are non emergency (non 999 calls) You will have excellent people skills, be confident, polite, understanding etc.
Please note, successful candidates will go via assessment centre, all roles are temp-perm, Sat&Sun only 16 hours. You could be based at wither Newburn, Scotswood or Hebburn
