24th September 2012- Unit 1 Communication

Hi All

Hope that you found the session ok?
Different ,I know to the way most of you are used to learning- but feedback from previous groups show that learners prefer this style of delivery at this higher level.
But please let me know your feedback.

Well done for all your positive contributions.. nice to see the knowledge from previous Level 2 courses flowing back, and being used in this level 3 work. I am, of course expecting great things from you all!!

I have posted below links to the 2 clips we had planned to view.... based on Telecare technology, which is becoming common in the health and social care area.

Don't forget your handouts next week as we will be starting assignment work.

Look forward to seeing you then.

Tracy

  1. Hi, i dont know if this where i am suppost to write my post but im going to do it anyway and if its wrong, ile know for next time.

I really enjoyed my first day on level 3.
I learned alot about communication, we talked about formal and informal communication which i i knew as we had covered it on level two.

We also disscused what ways can effect relationships and care, barriers of communication i found interesting.
some barriers i already knew like slang, enviromental room, grief, cultural differences, lauguage and beliefs, some i didn't know like assumptions, non jugemental, abuse of power and fear of retubution.

    can't wait for next monday.

  9. well slightly late blog as i was sampling another form of communication on monday evening, the form of communication using mediums to contact the living spirits! very interesting and it worked, my grandma actually came through!! anyway i enjoyed monday, surprised at how quick everyone's knowledge of this subject from previous work came flooding back. i thought the group discussions were also very good as we all seemed to be able to give equal input. looking forward to monday. see you all then.
