  1. Today was a very interesting day. We covered values and beliefs and how they can affect your working practice. We researched codes of practice and minimum work standards and how they are linked with reflective practice.
We were also lucky enough to have a 'Master Class' from two ladies from Morrisons. They discussed Personal Development, what they as a company look for when recruiting staff, the personal qualities, knowledge and skills needed. This was relevant to what we have just covered as it contained communication skills, active listening, training, appraisals, positive criticism. When they had finished delivering their Master Class, we were then given the opportunity to ask questions about their company and how they support their own staff in their Personal Development. This just showed that no matter where you work a lot of the same qualities and principles are needed.
